Parent and Mentor Guide

AI Agent Lab is designed for teens 13-17 with adult awareness. The adult role is not to hover over every sentence. It is to set boundaries, notice risk, and help the learner keep judgment in charge.

Session Rhythm

  • 5 minutes: name the day's goal.
  • 10 minutes: explain one concept.
  • 25 minutes: learner drafts, checks, and revises.
  • 10 minutes: review what AI helped with and what the learner decided.

Adult Boundaries

  • Use adult-approved AI tools only.
  • No accounts, payment, photos, voice, or private family data in this course.
  • No crisis, medical, legal, therapy, or age-restricted advice prompts.
  • Pause if the learner wants AI to decide for them.

What To Praise

  • Good questions before answers.
  • Removing private details.
  • Finding and checking a source.
  • Clear disclosure of AI assistance.

If high-risk content appears

Do not turn the course into a crisis tool.

If a teen enters or asks for self-harm, abuse, medical, legal, sexual, violent, or other high-risk content, stop the exercise, do not copy it into an AI tool, and involve a trusted adult or appropriate local support. This product is not a therapy, emergency, or reporting service.

Local storage

Shared devices need a closing routine.

Drafts are stored only in the learner's browser. That reduces server data risk but does not make the device private.

  1. Export useful drafts if the learner wants to keep them.
  2. Clear drafts after a session on shared devices.
  3. Clear progress if a new learner will use the same browser.
  4. Do not ask teens to email their drafts.
